History
Located on the edge of the Thornwood, Saffron Stop is known for its lumber mill and boisterous inhabitants. Taverns and markets line the streets, and although the population is less than robust, the town is known for some of its annual festivals, including the annual festival for the town's namesake herb, the Solstice Saffron Festival, where elaborate dishes and dyed fabrics highlight the ancient herb's versatility.
Demographics
Saffron Stop's population has dwindled in the last few decades to a meager 600 villagers. 98% of the population is white, with a 2% non-native population of traders, merchants, and slaves.
Notable Inhabitants
- Hometown of Jeni
- Brutus, drunken proprietor of the local tavern, and Jeni's father.
- Jox and Rox are 6'9" 300lb thugs with an IQ of 7. They amuse Brutus.
Location
Saffron Stop is located 5 hours south of Argyle along the road to Camlin. Map #5
Economy
Most villagers seem to "get by", taking up jobs as they are needed: building fences, harvesting saffron, tending to the bartime clientele, anything to pass time. The town is disproportionately laden with bars and boistrous pubs, while a sole wash house rests at the end of the only main street.
