A wealthy merchant and builder headquartered in Cormire, dealing primarily in Eastern antiques and oddities.

His son Vincent Charney fell in with a cult worshipping Darnizhaan and Von hired the party to rescue him.

"She was joined by Arthur and his on-again off-again neighbor Von Charney, a barrel of a man with enormous gray sideburns and no discernible chin. Von was a mason and builder, and spent most of his nights in a suite within the castle, for he was responsible for leading many facilities projects for the city. When he could get away, he'd sail across to his villa surrounded by vineyards adjoining Arthur's land to the west."

Von was appointed to Cormire's Council of Lords after a hanging and a heart attack.
