Encountered in Darkness Rising, a warrior of a region he refers to as the Golden Basin.

For decades I rode the verdant fields of the Golden Basin with pride and honor, but one of the many sorcerers who fell to my blade returned after his bloody death to drag me here. He was cursed by that sorcerer to be chained to a rock in a rocky plane of Hell, have his entrails ripped out daily by various creatures -- forever.
After enjoying himself in Talathese, catching up on all the good sensations he'd missed while elsewhere, he later turned up in Cormire and crossed paths with Jeni.
