Gunther Oakhearth

Gunther Oakhearth is a 19 year old farm boy from a farm outside Serenton. At the age of 11 he was sent to work for his widow aunt's inn in Serenton while his older brother and younger sister remained on the family farm. At the inn he was a valet and porter, often using tools he crafted to make his job easier, rather than straining body.

During the plague, he returned to his family farm which became a refuge for those cast out from the diseased city. He helped maintain the farm and tend to refugees when his elder brother, Sten Oakhearth, left to join the Serentonian Guards despite his father's avid disagreement.

Gunther is now helping his father, Owen, keep up the family plots of potatoes, beets and apples, jumping to any more industrial tasks, such as repairing a defunct cart or plow over more manual tasks.
