Lucy

In Ignoble Assets, Meghan's sneaky thief.

Background

Her name is Lucy, but she goes by Red. She was raised in a middle-class household by her aunt and uncle, who took her in at 16 when her parents were killed. She assists the innkeeper down the road in the evenings, and he has taught her many useful skills besides just bartending and cooking. She's strong, and very good with her hands; this includes fixing just about anything, picking locks (and pockets!), sewing, and first aid. She's very curious, which is why she knows how to fix things so well, and a good problem-solver as well. She would find broken things that had been discarded and try to learn how to make them work again. She's also a good climber, especially trees and brick walls. There is a history of magic in her family, so she has a little skill there, especially with protection (shield) spells and mild mind control (think Jedi), but she's able and willing to learn more.

She's very smart, funny, and easy to get along with, but she can be a little short-tempered at times, and has no problem getting violent when absolutely necessary. She has a special fondness for the poor children in her village and will try to help them when she can. She's a tall, attractive woman of 24, with red hair and blue eyes. She's good with throwing knives and archery, and is learning how to use a sword, although she's not very good yet.

She's in the Duke's dungeon because he caught her trying to steal something out of a locked chest in his home. She's normally very stealthy, but he heard her curse while he was taking a midnight walk around his castle/estate/whichever.
