Eons ago, an extended family of Wood Elves struck forth from Silverdale after a political scandal. They scaled Landdrop and settled in Heidelberg forest 50 miles west of Heidelberg, with whom they trade some goods. The clan brought a single acorn from Silverdale, which has now grown into a tree of magically gargantuan proportions.

The village of around 1000 elves is governed by Dosoroth the Wise. The people are described as less sophisticated, less 'elite' than elves of Silverdale, more like Native Americans than British aristocracy.

As described in Ur campaign notes:

A clearing in the pine forest, some 500 yards across, bowl shaped topography and a brilliant
blue-green meadow of knee-high wild-rice grasses, lorded over by a broad-leafed oak tree of
gargantuan proportions, hundreds of feet tall and wide, leaves scarlet, magenta, and orange,
some of which float in the air on the gentle breeze.
And evidence of structures... built, or perhaps carved into the living tree itself, with
ladders and vine-sculpted spiral stairways connecting them, and multiple ropes hanging from
the trees to within a yard of the swaying grasses below. (depending on time of day, perhaps
also some elves in the meadow, emerging from the forest on the way back to the Tree for the night)
A black and white unicorn (Jeardra) grazes idly on the far side of the Tree (but casts a
wary eye at the party); it has a magic aura. It'll wander into the forest if approached.
A 20-yard diameter circular area of meadow has been matted down not far from the Tree, with
a ring of large blocky stones at its perimeter and a stone-lined fire-pit complete with spit
in the center.
...a 500lb wild boar will be roasted, and sweet honey mead flows freely while elven maids play
ethereal tunes on flute-like woodwind instruments.
