Keep of Hashir

Along the shores of the Sea of Death in the Endless Waste, the Keep of Hashir was once a great fortress owned by an emperor of what was then known as The Golden Basin or simply Hashirizan. At some point, Hashir asked his grand sorceror Zalshir to conduct his research outside the keep, as he was toying with dangerous forces. Zalshir relocated his research 200 miles out into the dusty plains.

In the Superheroes campaign, an army of Githyanki began renovating the fortress and discovered one of the Luma Stones within -- this newfound power provoked their timeless enemies the Githzerai to build a warcamp some miles away to attack -- a grand battle ensued with massive losses on all sides.

In the Ur campaign, the githzerai were still in possession of the keep until purged by the party's alliance with Kublai Khan.

Seen here from the west. The keep sits atop a rocky rise, steep banks dropping down to the Sea of Death.
