Forbidden Steppes

Over 400 miles across, this region north of the Bandit Wastes is a patchwork of tar pits, twisted granite formations, wide dusty basins, flash flood-prone gullies, muddy rivers, and isolated buttes and mesas. The inhabitants of the area, though sparse, consist of foul and evil creatures exclusively. It is said that an undead king and his legions reside somewhere in the northwest.
