A bodyguard of Lord Suliman Vrond of Vishnu. He is crass, callous, strong, and an able seaman.

His sidekick/servant Sora's guile compensates for his headstrong tendencies.

In An Evil Upon Us, Altant traveled with his lord to visit Fabian Maximillus in Talathese. Lord Suliman's children were abducted in town, and Altant crossed paths with the party while in pursuit.

The party left him behind, temporarily paralyzed, with Sora by his side.
