Lily is young girl who does housekeeping for Lord [[Charles Cavendish]] and his Lady Anne, a well-to-do family in [[Camlin]]. She longs for adventure and has an imaginary friend who keeps her company named [[Tango]]. He is a unicorn. Her mother dies when she was very young and her father raised her in a cabin in the forest just on the edge of town until he was killed in the line of duty. Lily was taken in by the Cavendish family because the fathers were old time acquaintances. The ladies that come over for tea parties think Lily is precious and they feel sorry for her that she was abandoned.
