Encountered in [[Dragonslayers]], Gurak is a seven-foot-tall half-breed (perhaps orc, perhaps ogre, perhaps bugbear) bandit leader in the vicinity of [[Travelers Rest]]. He calls his troop "the dark ones", and they apply mud to their faces to try and look like zombies. Some of the more extreme ones snip off their own noses to enhance the effect.
