3000 troops, made up of a robust navy (with 24 war-machine-equipped ships on rotating patrol), omnipresent city guards in dull gray splint mail, and leather-clad cavalry and infantry trained in both open plain and forested warfare, are overseen by three generals -- Aquilus, Gurnst, and Dickens. The Duke's son [[Edward Vallis]] holds the honorary title "Supreme General" and ostensibly commands the three generals.
