Reeloran came into existence 4,000 years prior to present day. For two thousand years, he served as a Torture Demon, a being of Hell assigned to administer horrific physical and mental stresses upon souls banished to the underworld. He became known as a monster of renowned brutality. Reeloran came into existence 4,000 years prior to present day. For two thousand years, he served as a Torture Demon, a being of Hell assigned to administer horrific physical and mental stresses upon souls banished to the underworld. He became known as a monster of renowned brutality. His dedication to his task became recognized by the overlords of Hell, and he was promoted to a position on The Council of Torture and Banishment.
The Council of Torture and Banishment serves as a governing body that decides who will be tortured, to what degree they will be tortured, and if the soul has served sufficient time to be released to a less horrific realm of the afterlife.
It was during his time on the council that Reeloran came to understand the recklessness with which the other 11 members consigned souls to their fates. The pivotal issue concerned a certain individual Reeloran knew to be undeserving of the punishment he was about to receive. The council ignored Reeloran's protests, prompting him to circumvent the corrupt body and directly warn the Torture Demons not to touch the soul in question.
