From the legend detailed in the Ur campaign notes:

Additional research will discover a story of Methusela, a black & green & gold flying serpent, preying upon villages along the Nesratu River, some 200 years ago. An army was raised to defend the villages, but they were all decimated. Then a priestess called Karunasindhu announced she would put an end to the bloodshed, wandered out into an open plain, and awaited Methusela's return.

Just as Methusala was about to devour the brave priestess, she held up a huge gemstone and told Methusela it was a Luma Stone, which gave her indomitable powers to banish the dragon from the Earth.

Methusela swallowed the priestess and the gemstone without a second thought, but never returned.

Karunasindhu is revered to this day in some villages along the river as a martyr and saint, a symbol of personal sacrifice for the greater good.
