Background

Jaxon was born in the late eighties to Colonel Emily Cash and high-tech Chief Marketing Officer Gerome Cash in the suburbs of Washington DC.

He excelled in private school and then served a brief white collar stint in the Army. Despite his desk job, he saw action and was wounded when radicals attacked an airbase in Jordan. His actions resulted in a commendation for valor.

Back to the states, his mother arranged a job at a Finley & Swift, a 200-partner law firm serving government agencies and transnational corporations. He served as an account executive to elite clients like the governor of Virginia.

After a couple of years, he took job with the governor as personal aide. In this apparently innocuous role, he solicited political contributions, placated senior staff, arranged trysts, was part of the security/bodyguard group, and made problems go away.

The governor's daughter Tanya was a love interest, but then she was abducted by radicals while doing nonprofit work in Africa, and Jaxon got his gun.

His rescue attempt was poorly planned and under-resourced and failed, but along the way, Jaxon met mercenaries who were solving bigger badder issues all over and got a taste for direct action.

He finished the gig with the governor under the shadow of Tanya's death, and then took his mother's recommendation to contact old family friend Hans Blitz, a lawyer in Switzerland who had various international clients. He took a job with Blitz as a 'consultant' and provided security, surveillance, negotiation, and other services to clients in various intriguing industries of geopolitical and global security import.

It was Blitz who introduced him to SubNet. He generally takes only one or two direct action missions a year, preferring to spend his time and money enjoying Mediterranean pleasures.
