Right Boot of Akhad
Right boot of Akhad:
The right boot of Akhad is a minor relic that houses a small echo of the legendary hero's soul. Once the boot is dawned, it draws the wearer unknowingly toward the other boot, unless both are worn. The wearer will not consciously know they are going in any general direction, but they will conveniently find reasons to continue their journey toward the left boot. The armor, housing an echo of the hero’s soul, creates a sort of magnetism between the boots. The chaotic nature of Akhad has been imbued into his armor (chaotic neutral), but its full power only exists when the suit is whole. The boot functions as a normal plate mail boot, for movement purposes, although it is as of yet indestructible. The boot does, however, retain some minor powers that may be beneficial:
- Adds a cumulative 5% magic resistance.
- Allows the wearer to Meld to Stone (as per the clerical spell cast by a 5th level cleric) once per day.
When both boots of Akhad are worn:
The wearer believes him/herself indestructible, possibly of demi-god status and will go to any lengths not obviously suicidal (wisdom and/or intelligence check) to prove their power to disbelievers.
The boots when worn together cannot be taken off by any means, not even a remove curse, unless the wearer is dead.
When both boots are worn, the wearer is drawn toward the next nearest piece of Akhad's armor, as above stated.
When both boots are worn the boots act as Boots of Elvenkind (DMG) and Boots of the North (UA pg 97)
Both boots of Akhad are currently possessed by the red mage Marckall Coplonra.
