If a cutting weapon does more than half the allowed damage to the limb, it is severed.

Example: If I have a HT of 12, and my hand can take HT/3 damage (4), then 9 points of cutting damage to the hand will sever it. My arm, which can take HT/2 or 6 points, will be severed if it takes 13 points of cutting damage.

Parrying Huge Foes

It's harder to parry a humongous foe. :)
