Visions

  1. Battle-weary warrior, after the fray, lamenting the mass casualties around him. Sharone is frustrated by being ujnable to communicate with or provide any aid.
  2. Man with a drowned daughter on the beach, surrounded by elementals. After initial frustration, Sharone begs the air elemental to breathe life back within the girl. Something happens, the girl coughs up water, is alive again! Sharone awakens with a new spell in her arsenal: Purify Air
  3. Villagers watch a woman and her children in a boat get dashed against the rocks in a storm. Mother barely survives, children all lost. She does not speak or eat or drink for three days. On her deathbed, Sharone approaches, the villagers begging for her help. Sharone summons broth, sits the woman up, realizes this will not be enough. She asks everyone present to think of their love for the mother, and then, channels their love into her, healing her aura. When she awakens and dons her healer's robe, it magically grows a new blue stripe along each sleeve.
  4. In the final battle with the necromancers, Sharone was grappled by a psychotically-enraged and hateful witch. Helpless in her clutches, Sharone looked into her eyes and projected perfect love, universal compassion. She drifted into a vision, in which shards of aspected magic were all within her grasp, and that she could mend anything. The wretched necro recoiled from her, and collapsed, revealing her true form, of an ordinary grubby villager.

Previous Lives

Sharone believes she has lived before, inhabited other bodies, other times, and can, from time to time, recall experiences -- and even skills -- from those lives.

(big skill list [here])

  • Ariana Rosewind (?) was a healer who traveled the world doing good deeds for the needy, eventually joining the Sisters of Mercy, whose theology and bureaucracy were occasionally irritating, but her moral sense was well aligned with their mission.

And these... maybe not.

  • Morgan Tagelet (Tah-zheh-LAY) was an elite operative in a squad assigned to undermine a syndicate of malevolent sorcerers in a jungle kingdom. She was the combat medic, nearly as adept with a throwing knife as a bandage. [KARATE, DISGUISE, CAMOUFLAGE, CROSSBOW, THROWN WEAPON - KNIFE, KNIFE, FASTDRAW:KNIFE, GARROTE, TACTICS, SHORTSWORD, FENCING]
  • Tári Elensar was an infamous elven sorceress in a time of desperate war who conducted medical experiments on orcs, goblins, dwarves, and the occasional human. She was an expert with poisons, paralysis, torture, and assassination, and was paid handsomely for her advice by warlords to whom she owed and claimed no allegiance whatsoever. [BODY SPELLS, HERB LORE, INTERROGATION, POISONS, PRESSURE POINTS, MERCHANT, STREETWISE, SURGERY, THANATOLOGY]
  • Ynarra Siri Marimba was the wife of a beloved king in a desert empire. When her husband was poisoned by a rival, she surprised and delighted the nation by consolidating power and leading the army to annihilate the rival's forces and subsequently reigning over the combined territory in peace until her natural death fifty years later. [LEADERSHIP, ADMINISTRATION, LAW, PUBLIC SPEAKING, PROPAGANDA, ACTING, POLITICS, DIPLOMACY, STRATEGY:LAND]
  • Liza Starbright was a 'lady of the night' in a fabulous establishment in a sprawling, decadent city. • Lilivira was born of an oak tree and the sky, or perhaps the sun and a songbird. Weighing two pounds and sporting translucent wings, she was a faerie in a mystic forest. Sometimes, adventuring men would spot her, and fall in love, despite the impossibilities. She would lead them to water or away from hungry wolves before flitting off into the trees. [TRACKING, SWIMMING, PLANT SPELLS, AIR SPELLS, NATURALIST, SURVIVAL-FOREST, ANIMAL HANDLING, MIMICRY-BIRDSONGS, AEROBATICS, FLIGHT, RUNNING, NAVIGATION-LAND, WEATHER SENSE]
