At the northern edge of this great cliff, the precipice is a mere 200 feet, and it is here that the [[Spice Road]] is carved into its face.  As the Heidelberg Plateau extends south, the drop exceeds 5000 feet. This great wall creates its own weather, giving rise to a humid jungle at its base.
