			Agatha arrives on an exhausted horse that crashes into the street outside, breaking legs and making a horrible racket. The Mountain Man puts the horse out of its misery as the pastor carries the girl in and the gunslinger clears a table. She's breathing, blood-spattered (hers?), pale, and burning hot with fever. Green crud oozes from one eye.

			Suddenly she sits up, impossibly fast, and projectile vomits.

			The gunslinger sees her eyes glowing green and blasts 3 bullets through her torso, knocking her to the floor. The ladies on the balcony start screaming, Big Jim raises his shotgun, and Delilah gasps.

			The girl, torso contorted by structural damage, cricket-leaps up on the table again, screeching horribly. The gunslinger puts a single bullet through its brain, silencing it.

			Pastor Wiggins prays fervently. Delilah arranges for cleanup.

			Everyone drinks whiskey and the party makes a plan to depart for Haven in the morning after being convinced of their solemn duty to inform the girl's family.

			The Sheriff deputizes everyone and Delilah puts on tight brown denim pants and a bursting button blouse. Then they borrow a wagon and supplies, and a case of whiskey, and head up the road into the mountains.

			As the party approaches the woodcutter's cabin, they are gently accosted by a grizzled cowboy hiding in the bushes with a long gun aimed at cabin. He introduces himself as Butch Reno, and he claims to have recently dispatched monsters in the cabin. Sure enough, blown-apart bodies litter the area outside the dwelling.

			Butch is grateful to be loaned a rifle (he's out of ammo) and sensing there's safety in numbers joins the group.

			The party resolves to "scalvage" the cabin. A brief tour of the perimeter reveals a zombie grandma in the back room, which is easily dispatched from outside the window. Supplies -- including ammo for Butch - are collected, and the whole place set ablaze.

			Trotting up the rugged road a couple hours later, an ominous wolf howl causes them to pause and seek a defensible campsite. Provisions are warmed over small cookfires and the team rests briefly.

			But then, after dark, the wolves attack. At first they are just a dozen pairs of glowing green eyes -- one of which succumbs to the gunslingers rifle before the rest rush in.

			The Mountain Man falls and is devoured. Horses bolt, only to be chased down and savagely attacked. The team clamors upon the wagon, with Delilah taking an unfortunate fall in the process, bloodying her comely face.

			The escape seems doomed, but for a small girl astride one of the wolves making an eerie cry, causing the beasts to pause briefly.

			Careening up the bumpy road, the riflemen fire back towards the remaining pursuing wolves, who disperse.

			Arriving at the rope bridge, the team sets a fire to dissuade pursuit and hustles across.

			The doors flung open, and there's a "boss" zombie clutching a glowing orb. He seems capable of directing an energy weapon or ... something.

			As Butch and the gunslinger succumb to the alien zombie virus, the sheriff, pastor, and Delilah depart, backdropped by the flaming church.

			With a makeshift torch, the party trundles down the rocky road in the black of night, Ace driving the wagon and Delilah on her horse, holding the sleeping child.

			An ominous wolf howl causes them to accelerate anxiously. In their haste, Delilah rides into a tree branch and sustains a devastating fall -- she lands face-first on a jagged rock, disfiguring her and knocking her out cold, her once-lovely face now a bloody pulp.

			The pastor jumps down to collect her limp body and the blinking girl. Seconds later a zombie wolf takes Delilah's horse down in a violent shrieking wreck.

			All aboard the wagon now, Ace whips the horses into a frenzy and the wagon bounces on down the road.

			A second wolf, at a full run, leaps across the wagon and knocks Ace right off, wolf jaws lodged under his armpit, his lungs punctured and arteries tearing. He's gone.

He is bitten several times.
